Here's where Beards and Baldies came from (our story)
My name's Phill and this website belongs to Linda ( my life partner ) and I. We are a South Aussie family who work from home as website developers and home school our two small children. Having worked on the Internet for a number of years it became obvious to us that it was becoming far too serious, missing was the fun element. With this in mind we went about the creation of what you can see here. It was through the invaluable support of Linda, my children, my family and friends that this site has now been born. Special mention must go to my brother in law John and my brother Rob and his partner Kaia who have been involved with Beards and Baldies since its concept.
As you can probably summise, I belong to that much maligned group of males who are the brunt of many a joke, those who are by genetic disposition balding. I had little hope of retaining my flowing locks as both sides of my family where genetically disposed. Having done a little research on the genetic aspects of male pattern baldness I need to say that I can thank my Mum for this gift.
Also, for many years now ( I'm in my early 50s ) I have prided myself in sporting a considerable growth of beard. Beards to me are a symbol of male strength, virility and passion. I consider this to be an integral part of the person that I am. Yes I am proud of being the creator of beards and baldies®.
While Beards and Baldies® is meant to be a fun site, there does need to be a modicome of seriousness as the intent is not to offend people. We attempt to be culturally, sexually and personally sensitive. That is not to say that we won't promote the therapy of being able to laugh at oneself. I believe that laughter is one of the strongest forms of therapy available to us.
If we can enrich your life in some small way then we will consider that to be ample reward for our efforts. Please enjoy our online environment and feedback any suggestions you may have.

PS. This website is dedicated to my beautiful wife Linda and my wonderful kids Melinda, Greg, Harley, Tayla and Kaisha. |
